The Byrne V-Groove Blade Set Pro for Festool (model VT-55-CN-90V, Byrne item 180856) is a V-groove cutter kit for track saws. This is a drywall grooving system designed for cutting precise 90-degree V-grooves in plasterboard and drywall on a Festool TS 55 or TSC 55 track saw.

A 90-degree V-groove lets a single sheet of board fold into a crisp outside corner, box out a column, or wrap a soffit without a seam on the corner. Cutting that groove by hand is slow and inconsistent. On a track saw running along a rail, the groove is straight, the depth is consistent, and the fold lines up every time.

The Pro set replaces the saw blade with a machined cutter disc that holds square and triangular inserts. Byrne rates the blade depth at 17mm (about 11/16 in). When the inserts wear, you rotate them to a fresh edge instead of replacing the whole disc. Replacement inserts are sold as the BE-DT20 set.

The kit includes an aluminum alloy housing (case cover) that encloses the cutter on the saw, a locker, and the Torx T15, Torx T20, and 5mm hex drivers needed for installation and insert changes. That keeps everything needed to swap from a wood blade to V-grooving in one package.

Cut a test groove in a scrap offcut and fold it before you commit to a full sheet. Adjust your plunge depth until the fold closes tight with the face paper intact. Once it is dialed in, the rest of the job is repeatable.
